SSM / ECU Initialisation

Postby Mart » Sun May 24, 2009 8:27 am

Hi,

I would like to know if I have to wake-up the ECU before attempting to initiate an SSM session ("80 10 F0 01 BF 40").

When I am performing a KWP 2000 fast init on my 2006 STI, the ECU respond with a 0x83,0xF1,0x10,0xC1,0E9,0x8F,0xBD. I try to send the ("80 10 F0 01 BF 40") but I get no answer from the ECU at all...

I am using mc33290 chip for the K-LINE. Do I have to perform an ISO KWP init and then an SSM init?

Thanx for your help.

the answer is no. Simple SSM init is more than enought.
