Programming the OpenPort 1.0

Postby richip » Wed Aug 24, 2005 2:21 pm

Hi, all (but most specially Colby).

I recently acquired the OpenPort 1.0 (tactrix) cable and would like information I need to program it. The serial API for the serial-to-K-line part is pretty straightforward. I'm more interested in programming pins 9 and 11.

This is my understanding (and I'm hoping someone will correct me if I'm wrong): Pin 11 is always up and has a continuous supply of +12V on it. Pin 9 is programmed by setting and clearing DTR on the serial port programming interface to the device.

Right?

Additionally, should DTR be on for normal (non-ECU flashing) operations?
