Fast-poll logging with type=ssmk ?

Postby Jochen_145 » Thu Nov 15, 2012 3:30 am

Hey,

is it possible to activate fast-poll modus of Subaru K-Line stand-alone logging ?

Is it allready implementated or does it need software chances ?

If it is allready possible to use, how to activate it ?

I too would like an update on this query. Logging to the laptop either through romraider or ecuedit is significantly faster than logging to SD card, even when logging more parameters.
Is there some kind of command line etc to add to the logcfg.txt file to enable this on the SD card or is it a hardware / firmware issue with the tactrix that limits its functionality in this respect.

Just to give some info, but I think your allready know:

there are two ways in inprouving sampling speed. First you can chance the boudrate of SSM-II protocoll from 4800baud to 10400. This will give about 2 times more sample rate.

The other way is to use continous push mode, with in RomRaider is called "Fast-poll"

Some info you will finde on Subaru Diesel Crew side:

(I think you allready found  )

Was this ever implemented? It should be as simple as flipping one bit:

http://www.romraider.com/RomRaider/SsmProtocol

PP == 0×00 (single response), 0×01 (respond until interrupted)
