Openport Stand-Alone Logging Beta

does it look like the logs are continuous, or is there some gap in the data? do you have any newfile actions set, even if they should not be triggering?

Tephra wrote:nice.

everything is working pretty well.

although I did find today that a log stopped half way through and a new file/log was created. (not near any maxint boundaries or anything)

bit weird??!?

sure - send them. if it's not continuous, then the OP2 must have done a "stop" action either from your trigger conditions, or because it wasn't able to receive responses for some number of samples (it ends the file once the data stops coming, then starts a new one when it comes back - this is the mechanism by which it makes new files each time you turn your car on and off)

Has anyone got this working with a LM-1?

Unfortunately, I don't have a LM-1 to try it with...

Here's a confusing problem for you. between my two cars: 05 STi and 08 2.5i. whenever i use K-line on either of them, I get only about 6 samples of data.

any advise :?:

attached is the log from my 08 after 10 miles of driving

I'm out of town until the weekend - I'll take a look when I get in. I did test the K-line stuff before releasing the beta, so I'll have to see what is going on. It may be mis-estimating how fast it can log those params from your ECU, which could cause some trouble.

I have an '07 STI and mine does the same thing using the k-line config file. I will try out the CAN config file that is included in the ECUFlash Beta sample directory tonight and see if that makes a difference. Any advice on why the logger trips off (I am currently using RPM to trigger the logging, maybe using the Defroster or AC switch will get around this)?

I'm back in town and I have started to look at the problem. It appears to be K-line specific (CAN is OK) when you use a large number of parameters (~20+). It is definitely a strange problem, but I should be able to figure it out today.

Colby,

Thanks man. I don't know about BlackStar, but my logger only logs the 5 points just using the generic logcfg that comes with the ECUFlash Beta build (in the samples directory). It is only logging 16 parameters (I am still trying to work out how to determine other paramid's and scale values for other values I would like to log). Just an FYI in case this helps, appreciate you looking into the issue for us, I am going to try out a couple things after I get home to sort this out.

I'm having the same problem as above. Only getting like 5 or 6 samples before it stops logging, but the lights continue flashing, as if it were... Good to see I'm not the only one having this problem. I have an 07 Sti, btw. I'll be watching to see this get resolved. :)

I use the following paramaters

Coolant Temp (C)
A/F Correction 1
A/F Learning 1
Engine Speed
Mass Airflow
Throttle Angle
MAFv
Manifold Relative Pressure (psi)
A/F Sensor 1 (AFR)
CL/OL Fueling
Fuel Injector Pulse Width 1 (4-byte)
Engine Load (4-byte)

it seems to log just fine as long as i DON'T have Engine Load (4-byte) added

Having some trouble logging to an 09 wrx... Im using CAN and used the LogCfg.exe program to create my text file. I copy the LogCfg text file to the root of my 4 gig SDHC card formated with fat 32... I do get flashing lights and a LogCfg.out file is created but no cvs or logging files. I tried using the defogger switch to activiate the logging but I get nothing. Any ideas where to start with trouble shooting? I was going to formate with fat 16 and see what happens... Aside from that anything else i can change?

Thanks guys :D

EDIT> attatched is my Logcfg
