Openport Stand-Alone Logging Beta

Ahhh just as you suspected Colby. The AFR from Lambda ratio was jacked. I've no idea how it got like this. Perhaps I should hassle Innovate or see if it's a known issue to them. Here's a screenshot:

Image

I've since set it back to 14.7 Gasoline and get good logs from the OP2

I have a digital panel meter hooked into Analog #2 Output and have always had reliable AFR readings. Because of this I wasn't suspecting the LC-1 controller's configuration :)

cboles wrote:I'm looking into it, but I've had a couple of sensor failures on the bench... Keep in mind that the OP2 cacluates the AFR based on the AFR multiplier that the LC-1 provides. If you go into the LC-1 configuration tool and find that this is not set to 14.7 (or whatever is right for your fuel) - then this is the reason your AFRs are bad. I have seen the LC-1 loose this information before - I'm not sure why it does it. You could always make a calculated parameter that does the multiply, or I could make a hard-wired inno.afr147 parameter as well.

This looks like the problem I have.

This did work for me under an older version.

Agreed LC-1 AFR's logged accurately in an earlier version. I however no longer have the logs to confirm.

It works, it's very fast.

I had not seen the option at the bottom of the list

What cable is everyone using to connect their LC-1 to the OP2?

Something like this - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/0-25M-USB-A-Femal ... 48376e8562

no, paul it uses the LC-1 "bus", the "headphone" style plug marked out plugged into the matching headphone socket on the LC-1, so you need a head phone plug to head phone plug to connect it. I got one with my LC-1. Looks like this not sure if its 2.5mm or 3.5mm or another size completly.

It is 2.5mm and needs to have stereo (3 conductor) plugs and wiring.

Hi freakin,

Just checking, is the Innovate cable a straight stereo cable?
As in the, tip of one end is connected to the tip of the other?

I have tried my stereo 2.5mm cable but I'm not getting any AFR readings.

Cheers.

I just wanted to take a second and say thanks for this! I tested it out with a log file creator I've been working on (similar to another I just saw... doh!) and it works great.
As soon as I've finished off the rebuilding of the log file (I'm doing a unique sampling method I think) I'll post up the app as open source on codeplex. It'll at least include some C# .NET classes for importing and working with the RomRaider ecu and logger defs :)

Thanks again for making logging with the OP 2.0 so easy! :D

(not sure what is going on with the site - i have responded to this thread twice without anything showing up!)

the cable should be wired straight through. do you have the LC-1 logging configuration set up correctly? is there an AFR column in your logs?

LC-1 logging configuration is definitely set up correctly, there is a column inside the log file with the header, inno.afr, but the values are all 0.

I have tested my 2.5mm <-> 2.5mm cable with a multimeter, the connection is fine.

LC-1 logging is definitely okay, I've been logging with a laptop and it is fine. Now, I want to get my hands on another OP2.0 to ensure that it is not a OP2.0 problem.

One thing to watch out for is that I have found that the Innovate 2.5mm connectors can be a bit flaky on the Innovate side - try jiggling them a bit just in case.

I just applied the patch to my 09 WRX to enable the RAM parameter logging, but now when I connect my OP2 and start the car I get nothing but an empty logcfg.out file. I think the logcfg file worked previously doing k-line logging, and all I did was change the type at the top of the file back. I could be wrong however because it has been about a month since I last tried the stand alone logging. I am at work currently and can not check my file or verify anything, but thought I would ask if anyone has ideas where I should look first.

Thanks
Matthew
