newbie looking for a detailed HOW TO....

I'm an owner of a USDM Evo IX MR looking for a detailed HOW TO reflash. What programs i need, drivers, definitions, numbers etc. I have ordered the OpenPort 1.3M cable, but while i wait for it to arrive could any of you create some sort of instruction set? Surely this would prove useful for others in the future and additions/corrections will occur as a result.
