Pajero 4 Rom Read problem

Pajero 4 Rom Read problem

Postby Editor » Thu Jun 09, 2011 10:21 pm

So, I have Pajero 4 3.0l and I was trying to read it ROM using Mitsu CAN method and ecuflash and ecuedit soft but all my attempts have finished with no success because some error had occurred during reading procces .
And after it i can't start the engine. Starter is working but engine doesn't start , it'd look like there is no spark events.
Maybe somebody have minds about it?

Sounds like the ECU is not running.
Did you attempt to reflash the ECU? If there was a problem during flashing, this symptom could occur.
If not, make sure the cable is unplugged before starting.

My car still don't work. But i could reaf my rom using COLT(768) KB method. And as i think flash is correct and problem is in eeprom.
maybe someone can find out what is wrong with this files.
So in attachment are ROm and EEprom.

You have encountered a checksum error in writing back to the ecu. The software is nto configured properly for anything other than the colt vehicles.

Unfortunatly the ecu is now damaged and your only option is to get a repalcement one from Mitsubishi.

We encountered the same problem with two different mitsubishi V6 vehicles, a 2002 challenger and a 2009 Triton which use same method of reading.

I've understood already that the problem is in checksum
But as i think i can use the eeprom from another ECU with the same part number and copy data from it into my eeprom, and thats the easiest way to fix problem.
So as i;ve said earlier my car is running now but CEL P0603 is lighting up within 5-10 engine starts, and this is single problem I have to solve.

You may get lucky but I found trying to flash any stock unmodified rom back onto the ecu resulted in same error. Worth a try though

If a problem yet hasn't solved, it is possible to purchase MMCFLASH to press one button Unlock and a brain will earn.
