hi, yesterday i modified the timing map on my cs lancer 4g18, i gave +20º on the timing at 4000rpm´s+, and i was monitoring with mitsuloger. now, my question is, does this engine has any knock sensor? because i was watching the knock sum column and it always kept on 0, or is there any other program that detects this knocks?? i also tried evoscan, and the same thing, 0 knock sum. can somebody resolve my question? thanks

I would check your knock limit map as well, to ensure that it is not clamping the applied value, though I think you hope it will.

If your methodology is to add that much timing at a load site, without monitoring afr, egt's or actual torque output, you may be hurting you engine for no real gain.

Parts of the load cycle (WOT), I would not recommend adding that magnitude of timing. Being that knock systems are still not perfect, and you do not have a very high compression engine, knock activity may not even be detected at that amount of loading.
