They gotta be close. If I could send someone the stock image off my 99 GST would that help the progress any? I am a new tuner and would not be able to help alot in the diagnostic process, although I'd be more than willing to try.

Would colby (or anyone else) post the source for his H8 read/flash kernel? If he doesn't have the time or desire to work on it, then maybe some of us can. It'd be better than starting from scratch.

I already tried to flash my ecu with 1.38 and got the same error as before. The reason "GSXDNA" didn't get an error is because he did a "test write" (which only reads the ecu again and compares thus giving the message "flash image is identical! exiting.") and those have worked for many versions now. Once they get the definitions finished and actually try to change something it will give the error.

I tried to sign up over there to help but the thread is in a forum where newbs cant post....lame.

BTW, dsmtuners is waaaaay behind the times. I got my brother over on dsmtalk to post this stuff up a while ago. There may be more help/info there http://www.dsmtalk.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1758794#post1758794

The 1.3 does not work, the 2.0 has been done and works to flash 98-99. Dsmtuners.com has more info.
