We should knock up an ECU definition for this ECU ROM to play with all the tables we've described so far?

RPM/Load scales... Agreed (RPM factor 3.90625, Load factor 0.3125)
All fuel/IG maps... Agreed

Injector scaling multiplier... I would suggest the original value is $00 39 = 560cc

Rev limit... I would suggest the original value is $00 18 = 7500rpm, factor 312.5

Best regards

Dylan

The injector scaling multiplier $00 39= 513cc. The ECU doesn't scale the injector exactly 560cc. The rev limiter is $03 DA on EVO 9 and EVO 8, and not $00 18. Everything else you have is correct! :)

PM me, so we can work together to get this done.

Fuel and ign#1 maps. I just manually entered the RPM values. I think the ignition values wrap around zero.

I think the load is % not g/s on these tables?

Ign RPM ends with 11000 RPM?

The ignition values you see in the bottom left of your tables equate to -ve figures.

The load is g/s.

Bizzarely the RPM does end at 11,000. This also correlates with all Evo's back to E1.

Load as g/s is a bit odd as it will only use a few of the load zones at idle... surely it is g/cylinder charge or some multiplier thereof? 100% was suggested as estimate of 1 bar absolute - ie atmo pressure.

Fuel and Timing is Engine Load % not G/S....trust me on that one.

Those high numbers in the timing maps are negetive degrees of timing. And timing on evo 8 and 9 RPM is scaled to 11,000 RPM. So that is correct.

Also the Fuel and Timing maps are somewhat correct, but on the fuel maps, the upper right corner belongs on the lower left corner of the maps and vice versa. Same as for the timing maps.

And one other thing... Engine Load percent belongs on the upper row, and RPM is on left column of the map.

You did a great job there!!! :D

Thanks Jason. So I've displayed it like a Power FC or hex editor but I've got the actual zones correct?

Yeah, just easy to read the other way.

How did you come to the conclusion that engine load is % and not g/s?

Because I have been doing Mitsu ECU's since 1992 till now, and they always go by Engine Load %(calculated engine load) and RPM on fuel and timing maps, on EVO, DSM, 3000GT etc. The MAF is calculated in g/s, and using in the MAF Scaling 2D table to convert it to calculated engine load %.

Example: 200% engine load is approximately 1 bar boost (2 bar Absolute)

Ahh... I understand. I was (wrongly) assuming that the MAF g/s measurement was directly represented on the load scale.

Anyone know what the scaling would be for the VVT map?

On JM8858-13 I know that for example the load 10 figures are 0, 0, 0, 4.8, 9.6, 9.6, 9.6, 9.6, 9.6, 9.6, 9.6, 4.8, 4.8, 4.8, 0, 0 from 500 to 7000 RPM. If I knew what these would be in hex I could search the ROM for this string?

Boost control details anyone?
