how do i make .HEX and .XML work

how do i make .HEX and .XML work on my ecuflash the flash will only show the files in HEX and XML and when i pull them up it only shows the immodilizer the rest is gone under parameteres

Put the XML in your computers:
Program Files/Open ECU/ECU Flash/rommetadata folder.
The HEX is the data, the XML will define the HEX (or .bin).
Or post the HEX for a definition if there are not any posted.

So to piggyback on this thread, I notice all my evo9 xml (place under my rommetadata) will force ECUFlash to crash when open. When I delete those evo9 xml, ECUFlash open properly. I'm using 1.29 and 1.30, both gave same results.
Any thought?
I have 89280002.xml, 88900006.xml and 88570008.xml.
