have some guys of you some problems with the P0505 code?
it is for the idle stabilisation.

please post if you have it.
a interesting thing would be the setup of the car

I had the problem :lol:

It is always very strange. Always when i stay behind someone with catless car, specialy at tuning days or drag days, my car has probles to hold idle, and if the car infront of me revs the engine, my car is ready to die. :( like it has problems to breathe

i only ask because some friends of me have the problem.
spezial: evo8 and 9

evo6 and 7 have no problem.

the troublecode-discription say that the code is set if:
idle is 10seconds around 20rev/min upper or lower as the target rev.

i only want to find out which "idle-stepper-position" is the best for a good idle.

i do some experiments and see that 15-20steps are better as the "stock" of 10steps.

Try cleaning your throttle valve. It gets oily and everythings starts going wrong then... You probably won't see the trouble code again for some time once you've done that.

intake is clean and isc-valve is ok.
also no problems with air-leaks at the intake or exhaust.

the complet engine-system is tested. no problems.


i think the problem comes from the modifikations.
(big exhaust, testpipe, open intake, changed cams)

i try to find out which "isc-step-ground-position" is the best.
i have the best results with 15-20steps.

When i was replacing my FMIC it was absolutly no (when i say no i mean no) oil and there was dust inside :lol:

So no oil in intake, fmic, piping or anywhere outside the engine 8)

Well, you are right. Those could be the reason :D .
The more you modify your hardware, the more you have to watch and fix all those tiny little details that manufacturers spend months fixing on dynos.
