replace stock ecu with EVO 8?

Postby red^shark » Mon Dec 11, 2006 10:38 am

Has anyone tried plugging in an EVO 8 ecu in place of the EVO 6?

Anyone want to try?

Just had a look at this file in Ecuedit's hex editor and I see the following patterns/guesses: (addresses in hex, row lengths in decimal - a row in Ecuedit hex editor is like a load column in ECUflash).

Fuel map 18A9 row length 15
and 19bf

Timing 1df1 row length 19
and 1f61

20d1 length 19 one of those fuel mod maps with a lean spot in it not sure what they do?

2506, 251a, 252e duty cycle max 1/2/3 length 16
2542, 2556, 256a load targets 1/2/3 length 16
