Whenever I add the xml file 88580014 for an edm evo IX to my liberary Ecuflash dosn't want to open, any reason why? It shows an error report but the other two xml files 96260009 and 98640014 are great

Scalings

Postby mtcavity » Tue Oct 03, 2006 10:51 am

Depending on the version of ROM I was comparing, I might have written the scalings out instead of doing "evo9base". I like to look over the XMLs in text, and it's nice to see the scalings, although it leaves more room for error (a simple extra space can piss it off). I'll go over the XML when I get to my house tonight and get that figured out, then update the XML....

Update - The first line of definitions needed another space. Try it again.

I have run into this problem before while I just started, most were due to mess-ups in definition writing. All the XMLs open in my 1.28 version of ECU Flash just fine though.

Let me know if all is well.

ECU Flash 1.28

Postby mtcavity » Tue Oct 03, 2006 5:04 pm

I installed 1.29 and ran into the same issues. I reinstalled 1.28 and it is OK. I will need to go through all of my XMLs and find out which ones are affecting 1.29.

The only way around it for now is use 1.28.

Update- I updated to 1.29, I backed up my maps to another folder and cleared out the Open ECU program file. Then after reinstall I moved all the XMLs back and all open fine. Let me know if you still have issues.
