MAP sensor scaling hunt

MAP sensor scaling hunt

Postby cdvma » Wed Sep 06, 2006 7:04 pm

So I got a GM 3 bar MAP and I gotta scale it so I don't get CEL codes. Anyone else out there with any idea where the MAP scaling table is?

Someone with street/pro tuner out there that can give a screenshot of the stock values so I can do an intelligent search?

chris, if you haven't already tried it, you might have better luck with making a def file using xmlwrite.

I have not tried that yet. Is xmlwrite around here somewhere?

Post your rom if you want help with XMLs or finding maps. There is no way for us to help you if you don't do this.

This is the USDM '02-'03 section ;)

I'll try XMLWrite tonight if I have a chance.

So I used xmlwrite and there is no map sensor scaling table that I could see. Is anyone aware of one in ANY 2002 or 2003 image?

Day late and a dollar short :(

I already cut the wiring harness and am running dual MAP sensors. But the info is still useful, thanks Ken.

heheh

over the w/e i cut my harness and am driving both the oem ecu and the utec from the oem map. i am happy to report that it looks like the input impedance is high enough on both devices to avoid loading the signal down.

incidentally the oem reads about 1psi lower than the utec at full scale (23psi).
