What's the best ROM to use?

I'm helping out a friend get his car tuned and he has the A4SGC00C ROM. Is there any benefit to upgrading this to a newer ROM? and if there is what version should I use?

I would suggest using the newest version 2002 ROM which is A4SGE01C.

Because its the newest and has all the improvements Subaru has made along the way.
I dont really have any other reasons. My car seems to like this version a lot though.

One person has found a benefit in using the oldest possible ROM for the 2002 WRX. I guess, since it was the first one, it is closest to the JDM WRX ROM.
