Tuning of a US MANUAL WRX 01/02 - AF424 - A4SGD10C

Postby JRSCCivic98 » Thu Jun 08, 2006 4:19 am

The USDM STI injectors are side feed. You need either JDM pinks or 06 USDM WRX injectors (blue), which are pretty much the same as JDM pinks. BTW, what's your background in tuning? Just wondering.

JDM sti is top feed.

So USDM is needed.

I also notice that we are getting very close to JDM timing.

Each new file, I am adding 2degrees. Well, v3-3 have 3degress added and 3-4 have 2 ontop of v3-3.

The car is running out of timing and extremely happy.

Paul knows how to drives for logging now, so we will know when that margin is reach for high outside temperatures and bad gas conditions, but the base map is so safe for his bad gas, he might be able to run 89+. Who know. Time will tell.

Since we do not have a full WB, we are running the stock fuel map and because boost has not reach its final potential, its better to be rich :)

But its getting they slow and w/ Paul's knowledge we will be soon there.

I really need an auto wrx to see what those load maps look like.

I like this Dutch program.

It shows you a kind of a Land base Flywheel (verifying this) Dyno base on the EcuTek Dyno info.

Tell me what you think :)

PK is PS. I could not get it to show the USDM dyno info, but JDM is good :)

So in USDM format @ the Flywheel, 251hp@5913rpm / 253lb.ft@4162rpm

Wait, so you're saying that this car is making that much at the wheels? Hate to tell you, but there's no way that's possible. Even with a Stage 2 WRX. Not only that, but I tend to trust the DeltaDash Road Dyno numbers more... when I compared those to a Dynojet Dyno the numbers were right on or slightly lower on the DD software.

Ahh, cool then... yeah, first you said flywheel, then you had "at the wheels" at the bottom. I was like WTF? That's more in line with your hp figures from DD.

Hey, what kind of WRX is this? Do you have your gear ratios correct? I have a US WRX and my max speed in 3rd is 99mph... yours says 128mph...

As the main thread states; where did you get that speed from? logs?

The dyno data states the correct speed :)

Maximum Speed per Gear:
1st: 39.0 mph
2nd: 69.1 mph
3rd: 98.6 mph
4th: 138.5 mph
5th: 182.4 mph

What? You lost me.... I'm looking at the same performance report as you are using DD Road Dyno. Your reports up above state 128mph for max gear speed... mine states 99. Where's the difference comming from if all things are equal in terms of log setup.

I look at all the logs and don't see what you are talking about.

I think you mean the auto wrx? You need to post in that thread. This is the Manual thread.

If that is the case, can you delete your replies in here to keep the thread short?

I am planning to clean it up sometime soon.

Trying to keep precise and necessary info.

Thanks
