05 sti roms almost duplicates

Was looking at the two 05 sti roms posted here, one from colby and one from justin, and they are _almost_ identical. Differences are here:

what are the odds this is the ecu serial number/vin or similar?
Also, looking at the offsets posted elsewhere, the two 2005 sti revisions have the maps largely laid out the same, except for the following:
