2005 wrx sti 2.0 stock map?

Hi guys,

I am about to purchase a tactrix cable to do a reflash of my ecu back to stock, as i suspect the previous owner of my car did some tweaking before demodding his car and selling it to me so it seems like the tuning is abit off. I have reverted my car back to stock already, and am currently sourcing for a stock ecu map but am not sure which is the one i should be looking at! how to tell if my car is JDM or EDM or any others? can it be seen from the VIN?

Read the tuned ROM out, and see what ROM Code it has. Then look on this forum or scoobypedia for a stock version of that ROM.

Yes, most of them. But they all started about where you are now. Just pick up hints along the way, and try not to blow stuff up....

hoho, i do indeed have the stock map in my car, but i'm having the same problem as topher03 still. sucks to have an sti that is not able to go above 5000rpm =\
