Here is ROM image from my JDM MY06 STI Spec C Type RA (the Type RA uses the same ECU as the Spec C).

Internal ECU ID is A4TJ121C.

Offsets for ECUEdit also posted later in this thread.

The file opened perfectly for me using ecu edit.

Just make sure you convert to 192k before you open it.
XMLWRITE will make the offsets for you inside of ecu edit, when it doesn't find a definition just say yes to create one using XMLWRITE.

Thanks that worked great - a query on the VVT maps - should the timing value be [value]-25 ? In the XML def that was written, it is specified as [value]*0.703125 ...

No, I have numbers starting at 0 and going up to approx. 45 degrees of cam advance.

How did you get numbers like -25?

I'm using the latest posted version of ecuedit, and the latest version of XMLwrite.

It bothers me that I don't understand what this 160k vs 192k format is about. Is the 160k compressed, or is the 192k version padded out with blank space somewhere?

Please can someone shed some light on this for me!

Thanks,
