Is the correct com port selected? Vehicle on?
Normally it auto-detects what vehicle you have.

ecuFlash uses FTDI dll for "subscribed" OP1.3 or passthru for OP2.0 to read ecu's.
Com port selection should not be relevant.

So I went through the http://www.romraider.com/Documentati...aiderFAQ#toc40 and did everything it says

So after all that I still cant get ecuflash to see my ecu. I can get rom raider to log just fine. If I put the ecu defs in ecu flach and hit read rom all I get is a box that pops up and all that i can click on is cancel. If I leave the def out then hit read rom I can select what are I have then it was

Using interface Open Port 1.3 Universal
TX2810xIba66b6c599a840658250fe751d25391b7d3
unable to connect to vehicle interface
interface close

Correct. What I meant was, sometimes if you have more than one FTDI-based comms device connected ECUFlash chooses the incorrect one, so the 'other' needs to be disconnected.
I think in the later version OP2 is given priority over the older cables.

Hmmm, sounds like a driver issue or a cable problem, but that doesn't totally explain to me why RR works still. Try removing the device through Device Manager, and manually select the appropriate ECUFlash 'drivers' folder when reinstalling the USB device.

RR logger uses virtual COM port for logging with OP1.3.
Thus .dll based communication problem with ecuFlash is not relevant to RR logging when OP1.3 is used.
