alright so I think I made a rookie mistake last night. when Flashing my buddies 2004 wrx I accidentally loaded my 2002 wrx stage 2 map. I did everything as reqd.. test wrote to ECU, saved his old map, and flashed the Ecu. car will not start, fuel pump will not hum, and I cannot connect to the ECU keeps giving me init errors. I have since ordered him a new ECU, and taken his old one out. is there anything else I can do with this 200 dollar paper weight?

Absolutely. This ECU can be repaired; there are a few people on this forum who can do it. Tactrix no longer do. Search this forum, you're bound to find something. Here's one:
