Stand alone EMS, need help passing Inspection
Posted: Thu Apr 14, 2011 10:49 pmHi guys, I have a Subaru with an older JDM swap. I'm using a Power FC stand alone system. My car is a 99, so I'm having some issues passing inspection.
I'm wondering if its possible to use a "dummy" 02 wrx ecu with all codes erased and readiness forced. I'd wire that into my car for power only and to the OBD port. Would this work or do certain pins on the ECU need to be plugged in to pass an OBD test? I'm thinking things like RPM and ignition.
