A4SGA00C - Can i flash this with a A4SGD10C rom?

is this safe? or is it completely diff to the point it will mess things up?

figured i'd post my stock rom as well

well i went ahead and did it. seems to be working perfectly if not better than before :)

I think you will find that the 2002-2003 wrx ecu's are all very similar.

I don't think you can do any real harm by switching between them. (Don't hold me responsible for a dead ecu if you are experimenting like this.)

I say this because one of the tuning companies uses a generic flashing unit for all those cars, and the other uses a generic map switch rom for all those cars. They base their generic map off the af423.

I actually flashed it yesterday with the af423 board with success. seems to bw working flawlessly. upgraded to a stage 2 map from qoncept on enginuity.org. +1 for opensource flashing :P

FYI - I have the same ECU (A4SG00C) and I started to map my ROM out in ecuedit awhile back and found that fuel and timing maps have more resolution - an extra 2 rows - 7600 rpm limit. Some maps also have an additional 3 columns of load.
