but the maps are not named

Of cause not, how could the programm be able to ?
But it shows you all availibe 3d and 2d maps including faktor, offset and axsis (!!)

I have fixed the checksum rules under Winols créated the automatic correction

Just copy the area and the checksumm of the 3th CS, to the 5th and load this dump into WinOLS or RomRaider and everything will be fine..

You can fine this hint on RR-forum.

Don´t know, why diesel dump CS 5th is differend stored. Maybe one more tuning idication ?

Oh, sorry, you have to copy the 2th not the 3th checksumm to the 5th.. M misteke...

i supposed that scoobyrom has also a definition file

No, it just search for the map deffinitons in the dump and displays it.
The programm works for every denso dump AFAIK and just helps you to know were maps are, witch size and what kind of factor and off set got.
So, it is a help for reworking and making your one deffinitions more, but of cause not less
Biggest problem: it cannot find any single value in dump

yes for axis but winols find lot to

ScoobyROM finds all (!), because of looking at the deffintion of the maps for the sourcecode in the dump, don´t know witch way WinOLS went, maybe the same, than it it good.
If you got share axsis of the most maps, the the research of WinOLS is correct.

As my winols make the checksum automatically i stopped with RR because i have already the info in ols

Of cause, not need to diskuss :D
I will go on with RomRaider also, because at the end, the diesel should be open sourced as the petrols are.
For this, WinOLS is not a solution.

.. but they are not good for the rail pressure maps but it's not a problem

Don´t unterstand this.. You mean ScoobyRom doesn´t got correct factors for rail pressure ?
That´s not true factor is correct, veryfied by logging a 100 times..
(factor is 1)

for winols i have the official licence so for me it's fine

What was the problem, why WinOLS didn´t reggoniced the checksumm first ?

the difference between "normal" calculation and diesel checksum of the 5th is -0x10. Constant in all Dieseldumps I got..
Can you please check, if this difference still exsits after recalculation with WinOLS checksumm and recalculation of RomRaider ?

( the discribtion of the Checksumm calcuation, you find in RomRaider link, or better: please chance one byte in the area between $B0000 and $FFABF and send me this file with corrected checksumm by WinOLS. The results are important for RomRaider or ECUflash if they want to recalculate the checksum of the diesel dumps. Thank you)

RomRaider itself is just a dump-editor. For flashing you need other tools like ECUflash or PIASINI.
BIggerst advantage is the RomRaider logger, witch support all Diesel-parameter..

bwt.:
Paisini cannot read and wirte the diesel ECU via OBD ( look my post befor). Ktag or SHbootmode is the emergency flashing, so our planed way uses allway the save one

what single values are you hunting after perhaps i can find them in winols

I am looking for a few:

at this moment I am looking for minium and maximum allowed pressure of the difference pressure sensor as well as the maps I posted allready:

- fuel temperature compension for injection
- mechanical friction loose map for torque model
- allowed differences between set and acutal value of air_mass for EGR
- allocation of the SOI maps to fuel temp

Thanks for the file :D

Just ones again to unterstand correct:
the file you post, is the calculated checksumm of WinOLS for the original-dump ?

The 5th checksum is differend from the original and is calculated in the same way, like in petrol-dumps..
So with the OLS-corretion ECUflash, RomRader and ScoobyROM see not incorrect checksumm ?!

the initial file on this post has good checksum if i put all back to 00
or even another ...

OK, so the checksumm of the posted file is also indecated as non correct from WinOLS
winols configuration put it back to the file that the initial poster of this topic has posted

But this checksumm is different to the posted file !

anyway that file was in a running car .... so it can't been corrupted

No, it hasn´t.. It was extracted for a Subaru update file..

I got a ktag reat file of a EURO5 Forester. Is file got correct checksumm displayed in RomRaider
Also your posted file got correct displayed checksumm in RomRaider

I copy the area of 5th checksumm of your file to the 6th and let RomRaider recalculate the CS. The CS is equal to the one of your file, witch WinOLS corrected, as expacted...

To make it short:
WinOLS and RomRaider, as well as ScoobyROM got the same algorythmen to calculated the CS of the Diesel. It is the petrol CS.

The posted file of TurBO got an incorrect CS !
Thats the point, but ECU doesn´t seem to care...

Thanks for helping to find this out

Did somebody read and write successfully over the OBD2 plug ?

Yes, ECUTek does and Subaru Diesel Crew devellop a Flasher for EURO4 Diesel, but AFAIK they don´t want to make the tool plublich..

I see no trouble not to read and wirte via OBD:
The ECU is easy to open and it is saver to write directly

If everything go right, this will be a "open source" solution for the Subaru diesels

Ecutek is not the only one to flash over OBD... Trust me.

There is 2 ecu version

One is SH7058s 1mo file
One is SH7059 1.5 mo file

Depending on euro norme.
EVC checksum is just fine.

Ecutek is not the only one to flash over OBD... Trust me.

Of cause not, what I allready tell..
Witch one to you also know ? Byteshooter I think ?
They are able to read and wirte, but AFAIK only the parameter, not to hole dump, but not sure about that..

EVC checksum is just fine
.
no dout about that, RomRaider will do the same cheaper

You know how many they should charge for their flasher protocol or licence how to contact them ?

They told they will not sell anything, as you can read on theire page..
Don´t know if this is true
They got a contact on their page. You can give it a try..

Did a kawasaki today very big ols file

Witch controler, with tool ?

Marcello, i don't have any 1.5 mo file here but i've got some @ work.

I'm reading full dump via OBD.

What´s this big secret about your flasher ?

Kindergarten-games.

SPI-Wizard by Frieling-Racing will read and write the denso also via OBD, but this is not to be discussed here..
There are several way to rewirte, even very cheap ones..

Not to use OBD is not a problem at this ECU and even more save

subarucand ???

Yes, but it doesn´t work anyway..

Before Subaru Diesel Crew started working on their own flashing-tool, they tryed to evellop this functionallitiy together with ECUflash.
But because of not enough infos, haveing no original dump to re-search, and cbloes stopping working on the tool, they stopped after two non-working beta tryes in ECUflash..

So just kick that...

And ECUTek..

Byteshooter, doesn´t know yet, even the tool Frenzy uses..

IMO use your PIASINI.. it is a very save solution.
If customer don´t want to open the ECU, it is theire problem. Only a few tools with in case non optimal solutions in case of ECUTek will to the subaru Diesel via OBD.

If you like to have a Bosch EDC17 oder MED17, the only way is also to open the ECU and use bootloader..
And Denso ECU is mutch easier to open

Don´t think this is a good idea...

ECUTek got fixed map packages, witch you cannot extent.
You are not able to "devellop" your own way to remap the dump and be only able to chance maps, witcht ECUtek allows to...

Take your PIASINI, IMA these days the best solution of a buyable " Subaru Diesel" flasher..

I know this sulotion two,

but you need to pay every ECU via licens to ECUTek, so you got more costs then nessessary and you need to send your file to ECUTek to decode it for being able to flash it via ECUTek..
Not good, when you make a fine-tune or tune the pre-control of VNG for optimal boost control

I don´t know if this "extra does" worth having a confortable flash via OBD, when your existing PIASINI will do the same job without this limits..

bwt:
Remember:
ECUTek will check seed-and-key communication, so station-flasher is not able to update the ECU or re-wirte to stock if nessessary..

It is up to you...
