My 2004 WRX AH751-5142 anyone with rom file?

My 2004 WRX AH751-5142 anyone with rom file?

Postby Spec C Wannabe » Mon Apr 24, 2006 8:06 am

I am from Thailand and my car is right hand drive, so I suspect my ECU is the same as UK or EU's car (and that what my local dealer told me). I don't have an OBDII cable yet, so I can't get you my image but I will order one soon.

Has anyone already dumped a rom image for AH751-5142?
I dont have that number like A4FXXX which I don't know what it is :(

Has anyone with UK/EU spec car successfully flashed his ECU using ECUedit or Enginuity?

thanks in advance for your kind reply.

This is my reply to my own question.

After struggling with all the detail in reading ROM, I have fianlly come up with the image of my own ECU :D

Would like to take this oppotunity to thank everybody who enduringly gave supports. And I will do my best to contribute to this community as my gratitute. :D

On the side note, comparing my ROM image ECU# AH751-5142 CalID: A4TE100G with Crispyduck's AH750-5141 CalID: A4TE001G, I found that there is no difference between the two. It is exactly the same.

However dont take my word for it since I've only scanned through most of the major maps (around 15 of them) and all are identical to those of A4TE001G

My next step is try to study each map and start tuning with it. My plan is to start fiddling with Boost first then maybe timing and then fine tune the fuel map (need good WideBand O2 controller though).

Anybody has any suggestions, pls feel free to join in.

Huh? I've veiwed every single map through EcuEdit. All are identical, map by map. :( What do you think the difference might be? Could it be the ECUId? The data in each map, the name of the map and

However, I've already flashed the Crispyduck's Modified Rom into my ECU already. Nothing happended but the new found power :D Logged the run with good result, no knock, high IAM (14).....However I'll keep an eye on it closely.

Will it cause any problems in the long term? Can you help me identify the difference? I don't really know how to read hexcmp, thanks for warning anyway :D
