ECUFLASH Software Tuning Advise

i am new to the ecuflash tuning software but have extensive experience with other tuning software on standard cars. Which maps should i concentrate on modifying to improve performance on a standard 2.0 wrx 2002? Also when you change some maps with ecuflash does the software automatically update other relevant maps?
Any help at all would be appreciated!
