AH581 Edited

AH581 Edited

Postby Spiider » Fri Apr 14, 2006 2:28 pm

This is my newest map for the AH581. It was edited in epifan's ecu edit.

I combined the 2003 STi Twin Scroll ah581, with selected combining of some of the 2005 STi twin scroll maps into the 2003 to make one map that has the best of both maps.

This map makes ~34psi absolute, and gives me no negative KC and no pulled timing on 94 pump gas.

The xml is included as well as the hex file.

Hey,

That avcs map looks wicked. How does it feel if you set it back to default?

Do you have any gtech, ecutek dyno runs?

Also, post a log of a 2,3,4 &5 gear runs.

I feel that 2-3g is for emissions. Have you try tuning in there? Does the car feel dead in the spot?

Look @ mine in an actual run:-

I think the car does feel a little dead there. I do normally keep it above 3000rpm if I want lots of power.

I have a 2-3-4 gear log file I made with Deltadash, it is attached.
(I had to zip it up for posting.)

Since you can make the changes, try changing avcs and maybe ignition and fuel in that region. It sholud help the turbo spool up a bit. In my case, I don't have a turbo and the power fall off is really really bad.

Look @ my power curve.

Can you do a dyno run w/ ecutek and post? That would be great for the forum to show changes in curve as you tune the ecu :)

Its quite normal for me when making changes to my HKS Fuel Controller.

Thanks.

Post a graph.

I think setting it in 2 or 3gear and floor it from 0kph :)

It might ping

My non-turbo is low due to the 4EAT :)

2.00, 240 & 2.80 are low compare to others (2k-4k range)

I know you lean out things a bit to get the turbo spooling, but in my case, that is not the case and I do not think that is the same for the turbo models. I feel it is emissions, since that is the point when you accelerates or move of in traffic and around town.

If my opinion is correct, I feel that this area can be improve.

Our ignition map in that area looks good, but the fuel and avcs is questionable.

This is what to do, sine the map is base on load. The problem is speed.

Choose either 2/3 gear and do some dyno runs as you increase the avcs in those regions.

Lets take increases by 2degrees to cut down the number of runs.

I am sorry that you are not in the Caribbean :) I feel like doing something now.

I didn't see any vvt in there.

I see that you are running 30psi. Is that correct?

Or the absolute is 20+psi?

I see that you are over 300+ all around. nice. 320hp flywheel would be nice.

Can you not get it from lower?

Send me your .ddf

Any reason fro the 7000 - 7500 drop in power? Are you running too rich there?

It is absolute ~34psi. (I am getting 20+psi of boost relative to atmosphere.)

I didn't log VVT angles in the logs. It is interesting to note that my 2003 ah581 is the same exactly in terms of vvt angle mapping as the 2005 one posted in this section.

Clover view of my AVCS - which may help you look @ yours w/ ign, load, vvt and so on in your new logging.

Strange, but I have very different value in my ecuedit than you have.

ie. In AVCS Where you have -25 I have 0. Where you have 32 I have 40.

I can see the AVCS "hole" there, and some corresponding timing being missing but my afr in that area doesn't seem to be compensated at all in that area.

Sorry, I adjusted the AVCS in that region by +2 degrees.

When you log the vvt, whats the varying angles? My own goes from -25 to 29.

I get no info back. I think DD has no support for my ecu for logging this parameter.
