I bought a second hand 08 STI and I am unable to connect.
Is there a way to tell if this ECU is locked or who is it locked by? Car is from auction and I have no way of contacting the previous owner.

Also at this point what are my options?

anyone?

are you turning the key and pressing OK at the same time exactly? if i do that with my car(08 2.5i) it never connects.

try
1. turning the key
2. then presing OK after a slight delay (about a second or a little less)

thanks for the reply but the problem was that my car had Accessport married to it that I didnt know about (bought a used car)

After I unmarried it using another AccessPort I was able to connect and tune just fine

ECU was just locked by AP
