Tuning a 2002 EDM STi

I want to complete minor tuning on my 2002 EDM STi. I can succesfully read the ROM as A4RN1xxx.hex. I can then get ECUFLASH to open it after creating a custom XML and the values looks correct.

My concern is if I edit the boost and wastegate tables and write the ROM back to the ECU will it only change what I edited? Since I used the wizard to create the XML could tables unknown by the XML get lost? Obviously I will ensure I log after the new tune and can revert to the saved ROM.

FYI: It seems to work and behave as expected. No issues so far although just adjusting the boost/WG and one/two limits.
