Maf problems on a 2006 wrx with FP20G

Postby Blitzsti04 » Sun Nov 16, 2008 2:32 pm

Got a 2006 Wrx with the following mods:
FP20G 10CM Wheel
Greddy Front Mount
External wastegate
Turbo back exhaust
Power enterprise 800cc injectors
Meth injection

I tuned the car for low end torque and got it to responde/spool really nicely, but not having a problem top end where the maf seems too be maxing out. I change the scale and the limit to 380 G/S but still maxes out. Then change it to 420 G/S and same thing. Later I tried 520 G/S and continues with the same problem. The car is running 25psi.. and logs look promising with a nice smooth A/F and timing. any ideas anyone?

10cm? I didn't think they built that.
Did you carry your MAF voltage out to 4.96v? The 06 is only 4.69 stock but you can rescale it.

Ops that was a typo I meant 8cm wheel and yes I rescaled it to 600 G/S I recently tried halving all the maf values and loads. It seems too work

the G/S is not important, the important thing is the voltage value, if you are maxing out highest voltage, for example 4.96, it is not important whether you write 400 or 700 to g/s.
if you are maxing it out to the highest voltage, purchase a bigger maf housing, i advise 70 mm aps cai, rescale all the maf table for optimum values.

the important thing is also you can pass more physical air from the intake by the way the actual g/s increase and you can write this value to scale.
