Limp Mode Reset w/o a computer

Hi Guys,

Just thought that I would share.

My car is a MY08 WRX, 18G Turbo, Haltech Interceptor, 3" TBE, Greddy Profec 2 Spec B EBC set to 54% Duty Cycle with aftermarket actuator.

On a previous dyno run pulled 168kW @ all 4's in 4th gear(wheel dyno, not HUB) when it was hot. Car has slightly more boost now and easily outdoes this.

After accidently adjusting the EBC to 55%(i've been slowly inching it up) and getting about 14psi normally, 15psi when in lower gears(low rpm) I hit limp mode in 4th on a "private road" going very quickly :-)

Anyway, CEL came on, Traction Light stayed on and Cruise flashed.

With experience from a Ford Falcon(would you believe) I turned the car off, took out the keys, pushed on the Trip Meter button, held it, turned the car to the ACC/ON position. And voila, the ECU cleared the error codes :-)

I only post this because I had a shop take it to Subaru 3 freaking times because they were too dumb to figure this out.

Thanks
Matt
