Reflash STI 2007 problem

Reflash STI 2007 problem

Postby Mart » Sat Sep 06, 2008 12:03 pm

I am using Ecuflash 1.35 with a tactrix cable on a friend car. I am unable to read the ROM image from his 2007 STi. The same setup work A1 2 minutes ago on the same laptopt to pull out my stock 2006 STi ROM and to flash. Green connector was connected on both setup.

Is it possible that his car have been reflash with a Cobb OTS map or a ECUTEK? Is there a way to determine this? I cannot pass the ecu id thingy...

thanx

Does your friend not know the history of his 2007 STI? Have you asked?

Well, all I know is that he is at his third engine rebuild right now. I have been able to married a AccessPort v2 to his car but I am unable to read the ecu or to log with tactrix. Is there a protection from Cobb that will lock me out trying to log with romraider??

Hi

I have had trouble with two Canada/USA Limited STI 2.5 2007, sold in my country.

I tried two computers (Lenovo and Hitachi), two Open port 2.0, two operating systems XP and Win7), two ecuflash versions: 1.42.2595 and 1.44.3721 without success

I used to flash many cars from 2001 to 2013 with no problems at all, but I haven´t been able to flash those 2007 STI´s

The log data says: Interface closed: GRRRRR!!!!

I check the green connectors, the car does the self check routine (so they start the check procedure) but I haven´t been able to pull the OEM map

I have tried the 2007 DBW car and all the other options without good results...

Any ideas?

We already know that the 2007 STi Limiteds are having a surge in acceleration or as we like to call it, the hesitation problem. But we would like to know what other 2007 models are having this irritation. Many of the limited owners have already contacted SOA about the problem.
