2002 JDM WRX

Hi guys,

I've had my WRX for about 2 months now and finally got a laptop borrowed to mess around with the OpenPort 1.2 cable and ecuExplorer.

So for I have done some datalogging, tried the adjust timing and adjust idle functions and all is well. The ECU is AF471-7086. I've found the IAM at 020118. My own only is only reading 10 though.

I can't seem to get the Read ECU Flash Memory function to work though. Under the dash has the 2 green connectors, 2 black connectors and one 2 wire white connector. I connected the 2 green ones together and shorted the 2 wires on the white connector but that is not working. Can anyone confirm if this function works on 02 JDM ECU's? And if so, am I following the right procedures?

Thanks,
Michael

I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had the ignition on prior to connecting the green connectors. I started again with the ignition off, connected the green connectors, ignored the white connector, and then turned the ignition on and it worked.

Is there a XML definition file for my ECU available as yet? If not is there a work-through to guide me how to create one?

On another note, here is a 3rd gear pull I logged using ecu Explorer. Any thoughts?

Hey Michael!

I PM and added you to my msn.

How is the tuning coming along?

You need any help, since you are in my back yard? :)

How many Subaru's you have there?

I visited TT last year December for the first time and only saw 2 Subaru's in Port of Spain.

Who is beating up on you and who are you beating up on? :) :) :)

You ever heard of CommNett?

Added!

I haven't done any reflashing as yet. I've just been tpying with Enginuity trying to learn as much as I could first.

I've only had my WRX since December and I'm only now meeting some of the other owners here.

Let me know if you're ever in the area again!
