bought this ECU off of NASIOC the other day...

Colby (and others),

According to some of my other tools (Car Code with a serial cable, and ECU Explorer with Tactrix 1.2, namely) my ECU info is A2ZJB10J AJ930-8791. I've got some questions...

I've downloaded this ROM posted here to play with. Am I correctly assuming that if I worked on an ECUEdit .xml file for it, that it would work for my own ROM image as well?

With my ROM being similar, once I am able to download it (I'm patiently chomping at the bit!), would it still be worth it to upload here? I'd be more than happy since I've been provided with all these neat tools, but don't want to be redundant.

From what I've been able to learn by reading posts on here, at TARI, scoobypedia, Enginuity, etc., what I'm doing is scouring a .hex file for patterns that end up being various tables and so on in ECUEdit. I have to find the addresses for them with my hex editor, and then plug those into the .xml file so ECUEdit knows how to read the .hex file correctly. Am I on the right track?

It won't hurt to post it. You can run a compare to see if previously posted ROMs are dead on the same. I think some of the tools have compare functions.
