I think this site could use a little faq section. I know I'd love to read one before asking a bunch of questions. I feel so lost sometimes. I suppose it will all become clear once I have my dongle.

Be sure to pick up the new V1.23 version of EcuFlash. It fixes a problem I discovered with reflashing 04 DBW ECUs.

So, is STi flashable yet? Sorry, I am the noob here. My flash tool doesn't even arrive for a couple of days. I have a spare 05 STi ecu for the time being if needed. I'm probably one of the best sources for ecu's in general.

Any idea when it will work with the 1.2 cable?

It has always been working with the 1.2 cable, aside from the recent issue in the software I just fixed. The 1.2 cable is the newest one for Subarus. The 1.3 (Mitsubishi cable) also works with Subaru DBW cars, but it is the same funcitonality.
