JDM 2002 gtb legacy how to

Hello there, i would like to adjust the timing on my gtb as it is detonating, can i use ecuflash to do this? has anyone re flashed a 2002 jdm legacy?

yup i have done 2 of them, they flash jus like the other cars with ecuflash. just adjust the timing map to fix the detonation problem or send the rom to me and i'll look at it for you and tell you what to do (if ur not sure)

Thats great to hear, what cable are you using to extract the the ECU information? the tatrix wrx spec cable? i only have a generic all in one obd2 cable from this site http://www.obd2allinone.com/

i picked up this cable from tatrix http://www.tactrix.com/product_info.php?products_id=35

so once its arrived il copy my ROM image and post it up, i have an MINES VX-ROM upgrade so hopefully they havnt locked the ECU
