Diagnostic mode connector

Diagnostic mode connector

Postby Rotawerx » Wed Dec 13, 2006 1:19 pm

I realise that its normally not a big deal to connect the plug in order to do reading etc.

However, at work we have a diagnostic scan tool which will simply read codes, and live data and log all without connecting these connectors under the dash. We simply plug it in and read whatever is there.
It must do something different to allow this I expect. We can do it for all years of Subaru, and other makes. Would the data off this unit help in any way? It has some sort of memory card stuck in the side of it with all info on.

Just putting it out there.

I presume you're referring to the green test connectors. They should never be connected when logging.

I havent done anything with a subaru yet. So they are required for flashing/reading only then... I see :)
