It might be interesting to pull an image of the ECU that Subaru is releasing to address ABS issues with the 02/03 WRX line and see what has been changed. Info about the Service Bulletin (#06-35-05) is posted over at NASIOC in this thread. I apologize if this is old news to you guys, but I wanted to make sure it was at least on the radar as a notable ECU.

I may be wrong but ABS should have its own ECU. Someone else may confirm ?

ABS is definitely in it's own control unit. It's on the hydraulic unit itself, I'm pretty sure.

Oh, my bad. I saw "ECU" multiple times in the Service Bulletin and assumed that they meant the regular ECU. Sorry.

Indeed the unit is separate. I have had mine replaced and it has nothing to do with the actual ECU for the vehicle as most folks think of it.
