CELFIX for decatted downpipe

Postby wrxsti » Wed Aug 16, 2006 1:28 pm

Hi!

I wondered if anyone could tell me how (what to alter in the map)to eliminate the Cel caused by driving with an open downpipe. It concerns a euopean my05 wrx.
Is it the "cat treshold 2 fail above A / B 2d-mapping?
If yes, what value do I change it into, of no....help!
Thanks in advance guys!

Just buy a couple of sparkplug anti foulers and drill them out. Screw them into you O2 bung and then screw your O2 sensor into the anti-foulers. 5$ fix!

Heres a howto.. its for an Evo, but should work for any car. http://forums.evolutionm.net/showthread.php?t=114931

Thanks krafty, looks good.

However I was looking for a software solution.
I know ecutekked cars here don't need any hardware, its just programmed not to raise a cell when driving decatted by raising some value.

what is the CEL code you get? Enginuity has many CEL fixes in the software and all you have to do is check a box. PM me if you need more info.
