Vehicle speed calibration HELP NEEDED

Postby ECUboy » Fri Jun 30, 2006 9:19 pm

Hi,

I have replaced my EDM 5 speed box with a JDM STI 6 speed box. The vehicle speed reported from the ECU does not match the actual speed. Is there a way to calibrate the ECU?

There is no calibration procedure. Gear constants have to be modified in your ROM to match your new gearbox.

Offset for these parameters are not published. You need to reverse code to get offset for your ECU. I did not look yet at non STI rom so not even sure that your code can handle 6 speeds. What is your rom ?

Hi,

My rom is AJ830-8820, A4TE300D.

How to reverse code to get offset for your ECU? Any instruction?

You need to use IDA (or any decompiler that may understand 68HC16 code).

Do a quick search, you should find some library provided by Colby for IDA 4.7 and 4.8 in order to handle HC16.
