Postby sideshow » Fri Oct 01, 2010 2:39 am

hi there all
i have to wire up an 05 aussie ej25t motor into an early 95 ish liberty
im getting complete front cut wiring but im just wondering if i can use the tactrix cable i use for evos
to disable the imobiliser in the 05 subaru ecu
if not ill just wire it all up with the key etc etc
but if i could remove the whole system then it would be much less stuffing aorund

thanks

I use to modify subaru engine wiring harnesses for VW Vanagon/Subaru engine conversions. Did it for three years and was never able to fool or disable the immobiliser system. The ECM communicates with various control modules incluting the BIU which contains the immobilizer. They communicate via digital signal on the CAN BUS and if they arent able to talk to eachother the engine will never run. Maby there is a way to do it but I don't know what it is. good luck.
