For the Nissan ???

Postby BoostFab » Mon Jul 07, 2008 2:38 pm

ECUFlash is really an awesome software. I'm with the Nissan camp and I hope I can get involve so that we can get a piece of the action. If not live-tuning, atleast be able to load the bin/rom files and making adjustment.

Maybe if I can translate the definition for the map file.

Any pointers?!

there is a commercially available rom flashing product for them
but one of the main programmers for them is also a large contributor here.
its doubtful that the development will get far.

But hey who knows, i for one would love nissan stuff

Yeah, I'd love to see Nissan support eventually. I'd love to fine tune my Z. Are commercial tools available today? Sure. But I am cheap and I'd rather go with another solution. If I wanted to spend the money, I'd just buy AP or UTEC and call it a day. Come on.....Nissan, Nissan...

I own a 2003 G35 along with my 2003 Evolution, I intend to contribute all I can to get Nissan reflashing/tuning working on ECUFlash, plus the ability to datalog.

I am also looking for ways to reprogram my 2003 350gt Skyline ECU (equivalent of Infinity G35). I’ve spent some time researching ways to access the MCU as well as the Consult II protocol. Unfortunately I got stack at seed/key authentication and kernel upload encryption. If anyone has any information that could help please pm me.

All of the ECU's have that sort of authenthication/encryption. PM Colby on here (The author of ECUFlash) if you've gotten far enough to get to that point, he might have the missing link.

This C++ code shows how seed/key authentication and kernel upload encryption work on Subaru 16-bit Denso ECUs. Your ECU probably works differently.

Yeah, I've tried that code and as you guessed it doesn't work.

I think the only way to find out the authentication algorithm would be to disassemble the ECU code. We already know the MCU and the dumps are also available. I just need to learn a lot about IDA Pro:). Can anyone help?

So there's recently been renewed interest in this in the 350Z/G35 community. I see Christian managed to get a ROM dump, what's the best way to go about doing this? (Sorry in advance if that's a horribly n00b question  )

The only software that I know of which will let you download the ROM file is Nissan DataScan II. It takes a while to download but it gives you a full unencrypted bin file.

Blazt.biz is the distributor.
