Little help trying to get rid of CEL

Postby autoxgalant72 » Sat Sep 15, 2007 10:43 pm

So I'm trying to get rid of a constant CEL I have on my '01 Galant V6 thats been swapped to a 5spd manual. I've been running EcuFlash for awhile now, but I've finally decided to try and see if I can get rid of these codes. They show as followed.

P0750-Shift solenoid A malfunction
P0755-Shift solenoid B malfunction
P0760-Shift solenoid C malfunction
P0765-Shift solenoid D malfunction
P0740-Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Malfunction

If you havent already read the car has been swapped from an automatic to a manual, I'm just trying to disable these codes.

Have you tried reflashing with a manual map? I'm just guessing though.

From what I've heard, thats a bad idea, I'm not sure though. It would almost seem that if fuel spark and all other perameters where compatable it would work, provided you set the unit code and immobilizer code the same as your stock one.

i dont recomend flashing the manual map. some of the pinouts of the mcu might be addressed differently.

anyone know of a good free sh disassembler?
