EcuExplorer limit ? Only 22.2 psi boost !?

Postby mociornitza » Wed Dec 20, 2006 12:40 pm

I have made a lot of mods to my WRX STI 2.0 and is runing great but I have question, it seems that boost pressure can't be readed correct by EcuExploer 3.0.25 above 22.2 psi ?! (it was 27psi in fact messured by gauge).
The picture is from test before fixing the MAF housing, gest focus on Relative Pressure. I had never read any value above 22.2 psi with EcuExplorer, is that a bug in EcuExplorer?
Do you guys know anything about that ?
Thanks

Correct, the stock sensor is limited to ~22.3psi gauge. The fix for this is to get a new sensor (ala GM 3bar, etc.) and change the scaling values in your ROM to fit the new sensor's transfer function. This is not an Ecuexplorer limit. It is the limit of the sensor itself.
