Same Here,

Evo4Mad,

I would like to get the software sent via E-mail to gordonfenton@hotmail.com. This is the same E-mail account that I paid from. Thanks for all your help in advance.

Yes, we all need to simmer a bit and realize he's half a world away from most of us. I sent my money and will wait for him to resolve it.

I noticed there is an option for WB (Zetronics & AEM); I was wondering if your going to be incorporating the LC-1 into your software? I remember reading a post that colby was going to be using that WB with the ECUFlash stuff.

Well I logged a file and I can't set it to display. I tried to use to pull down but it did not go anywhere. Any ideas?

The menu for displaying the log file doesn't work but the actual log file is saved in the programfiles\evoscan\evoscan.7\Saveddatalogs folder

I might write up an exel conversion sheet to convert the "request" hex code to it's english equivelant as well as it's units. That way we can interpolate the log file a little easier.

I was logging about 130 samples/s average, never below 100. Awesome work!

Looks like the log file already has the converted units. I wish I had matlab so I could write a script to sort the data out.

I'm assuming you want feedback on issues found with the 0.7 pre-release version...

The air temperature computation yields an incorrect displayed value. Specifically the intake temperature is 70F (on cold start) while ECUScan displays ~165F. Thus even taking into consideration the known hot soak issues with the air mass meter, the result is way off.

Also I second the motion of incorporating the LC-1 (wideband) into the mix. Innovate will provide the serial protocol used by the LC-1 upon request. Also there is an SDK on their web site.

The software works great for logging......but

Postby HiVoltEVO » Sun Jun 25, 2006 2:55 pm

There are several things that I have noticed regarding Evo4mad's software release.

1) Timing does not seem right. It seems to be indicating too high. Maybe someone else can confirm.

2) The log file is almost impossible to read. Every sample has a time stamp rather than a time stamp for all of the sensors logged. Unfortunately, Excel does not have enough resolution (or the log does not) in order to properly sort the data. I have to invest some time in Excel to see if I can find a way to sort the data easier. I would much rather having a time stamp for each group of data.

3) Load is not being logged. This was a major piece of data that I wanted some insight on.

4) I am a little confused regarding Fuel Trim (Low, Middle, High). These are numbers larger than I am used to seeing. I am used to seeing +/- percentage values less than 15%. However, these values are much larger.

I hope Evo4mad does not take these comments as being too critical. After all, it is a pre-release.....but I was hoping for something that was a little more user friendly in terms of a CSV file.

The speed of the software is amazing. I was getting 80-100 samples per second. I only hope that the above constructive critisms can make it better.

I have a question about the three Fuel Trim readouts..

Not sure how to interpret the values, and these are of interest to me because my car has run lean for some time now even after installing a walbro fuel pump.

My readings at idle are:
Fuel Trim High: 99.84
Fuel Trim Low: 140.4
Fuel Trim Middle: 120.02

Not sure what these correlate to, last OBDII logger I worked with (not on the evo) reported long and short term fuel trims in + / - percent anything over 5% + or - would cause a DTC to be set

Anyone know what these valuse are and what the represent???

BTW,

Great work on the internals man!! I'm sure there will be many updates to follow but the sample rate and engine seem to be spot on.

Thank you for all your work :D
