No communication on OBD

Postby Malmoe_Sweden » Thu Aug 14, 2008 1:27 pm

Urgent help needed.

I have lost serial communication on OBD. Have tried my Openport cable and a diagnostic tool with no success on OBD. No Ecu´s are available.
The car runs fine though.
I think i have damaged the Communication gateway when I had my laptop connected to the car and disconnected the battery.

Could it be a blown fuse somewhere'?
A schematic on the MUT serial OBD circuit would be a great help.
my car is a Evo 7 JDM

Thank´s , Lars

I can't imagine the comms side of things wuold have broken with what you described. However it is possible to blow the fuse that supplies 12V to pin 16 of the OBDII connector, and this will affect reflashing.
