possible to add parameters to log?

I know with Enginuity you can make new parameters to log, is there any way to do that with ecuExplorer? On Enginuity I was able to add an estimated Mile Per Gallon parameter thanks to the info being posted on the forums (actually, I think it might have already been included with the latest release of the software because after adding the code I now have it listed twice) but is there any way to add MPG to ecuExplorer?

the reason I ask is because I am currently using my friends tactrix cable and logging but my Cobb APv2 cable sometimes works with ecuExplorer
