AFRMAPcalc (14.7*128/x) does not come close to my fuel map

Postby C6ect.ect » Tue Feb 06, 2007 12:49 pm

Typical values I get are like:

RPM /FuelMap/AFRMAP/WB
3500 / 9.0 / 10.2 / 11.8
4500 / 9.6 / 10.5 / 11.4
5500 / 10.6 / 11.5 / 11.3
6500 / 11.1 / 11.5 / 11.0

Fuel map and AFRMAP should be exactly the same since they're calculations from each other, right?

Can any thing other than the ROM or EvoScan itself cause this?

Here are some logs, check out the phantom knock with first log, ID 4

All pulls are with water methanol at peak boost of 23 psi tapering to 21 psi

I don't understand what FuelMap and AFRMAP mean. Where are you getting those values? How are you calculating them?

I assume by WB you mean what you actually see from your aftermarket WB, correct? Or is this the factory O2 sensor?

For instance if my AFRMAP value is 165 (14.7*128/165 = 11.5) then it is telling me the ECU just pulled a cell value of 11.5 and I won't have that value anywhere.

AFRMAP value should correspond directly to a cell on a fuel map because that is what it is - AFR map. Has nothing to do with the actual WB A:F - thats the product

Mine are off and I was wondering if it's a current bug or if other ppl had same inconsistancies

I would imagine corrections are applied to the map before it fires the injectors?
