JDM STI variables support - Ign Corr. AP, Ign Corr. AK....

Postby west_minist » Mon Dec 25, 2006 2:10 pm

Hello:

I know some of you do not have JDM STI's, but to those of who who have and anyone that can chime in, below is the portmon output of just querying these very import three parameters on the STI's.

We are all aware of the VVT variables and how to query them from the SSMII docs are that out there.

Known queries
VVT Right
80 10 F0 05 A8 00 00 00 3C 69

VVT Left
80 10 F0 05 A8 00 00 00 3D 69

Now what have me buffled are these new variables that I can log with ECUTek and see the queries, but when I try to log them in other loggers, there is no success.

Is the follwoing below querying for the RAM or like the vvt stuff? This log was on a 2001 STI (ah581-5122) (A4TE002B Denso 2002)

Unknow queries
Ign. Corr. AK (Neg. Knock Comp.)
80 10 F0 05 A8 00 02 0C 60 9B

Ign. Corr. AP (Learnt Correc)
80 10 F0 05 A8 00 02 0C 65 A0

Ign. Corr. AT (Coarse Correc.)
80 10 F0 05 A8 00 02 0C 61 9C

Using XML in EcuEdit, I put in the following format, since I am more a customer to the xml format from way back when loggers where coming online.

<parameter id="Ign. Corr. AK (Neg. Knock Comp.)" offset="#20C60" storagetype="uint8" decimals="0" expr="([value]-128)/2" metric="" desc="Removes Ignition timing when pinging and knocking occurs"/>

<parameter id="Ign. Corr. AT (Coarse Correc.)" offset="#20C61" storagetype="uint8" decimals="0" expr="([value]-128)/2" metric="" desc="Ignition Correction table variables, affected by the IAM and AK "/>

<parameter id="Ign. Corr. AP (Learnt Correc.)" offset="#20C65" storagetype="uint8" decimals="0" expr="([value]-128)/2" metric="" desc="Ignition learnt over a period of time. The ECU adds a bit to the Knock correction if the car is working well with already high Ignition correction values"/>

Do those there look correct? I am not getting any values from the car.
